Tree lighting at 6 pm on Friday, December 9. The two-day event includes a chili cook off and candy tree decorating contest with a special appearance from Santa and special performance by Ferry Tales Youth Theater. Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 10. Kids can make free Christmas crafts. Everyone can enjoy presentations from Star-Studded Voices and Ferry Tales Youth Theater. Photos with Santa on the stage and 30 unique vendors. Christmas characters will also be popping in for photos.
All proceeds from Christmas in the Ferry will go towards unpaid lunch fees at Dixon Schools

A Holiday of Lights at Poplar Grove

Food trucks, concessions and a libations hall (including Salty Turtle most weekends), lighted fires for roasting marshmallows, Santa’s mailbox for posting letters to the North Pole, a juried gift show and photo opportunities for the whole family. Admission also includes a view of the decorated main floor of the manor house.

21st Annual Dolphin Dip

Every New Year’s Day, folks from around the world gather at the Dolphin Dip Extravaganza on the beach in Surf City to start the new year with a plunge into the Atlantic Ocean. At noon, a horn sounds and thousands of people shrieking with delight run into the ocean to “wash away” the previous year.
