The Chamber of Commerce’s primary objective is strengthening local businesses of all sizes. The best way to honor this organization is to use the services of local chamber businesses. Support Your Local Chamber of Commerce Day is observed annually on the third Wednesday in October.

To celebrate we caught up with Chuck Strickland, the Executive Chairman for the Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce to learn more about the importance of supporting the local Chamber.

  1. What does the support of local businesses mean to the chamber?
The support of local businesses means everything to the chamber of commerce.  Without the support of local businesses the chamber could not continue to provide opportunities that promote business development, personal growth, and community involvement.
  1. Why should someone support the chamber?
Supporting your local chamber means supporting the community in a way that impacts businesses, residents, visitors, civic organizations, and local municipalities.
  1. What difference does the chamber make in the local community?
As a nonprofit business organization we strive to be a local resource that promotes and supports the economic and civic well-being of our local community and membership.
