Topsail High School visual art teacher Caitlyn Bachman has been awarded the prestigious NCAEA National Honor Society Chapter Sponsor of the Year.
Caitlyn Bachman, a visual art teacher at Topsail High School, has been awarded the esteemed North Carolina Art Educators Association (NCAEA) National Art Honor Society Chapter Sponsor of the Year for the 2023–24 academic year. Bachman is in her 14th year as an art educator, the last seven of which have been at Topsail High School.
“I am deeply honored and humbled to receive the NCAEA National Art Honor Society Chapter Sponsor of the Year award. Art education has always been my passion, and I firmly believe in the transformative power of creativity,” Bachman says.
This recognition reflects Bachman’s exceptional dedication to nurturing a passion for art and creativity among her students.
“It’s a privilege to work with the talented students at Topsail High School, and this recognition is a testament to their dedication and hard work,” Bachman says.
NCAEA is a nonprofit educational association devoted to advancing visual arts education in North Carolina. The association serves as a vital platform for addressing issues related to arts education across the state, and its membership encompasses various categories, including elementary, middle level, secondary, supervision/administration, higher education, students, museum professionals and retired art educators.
NCAEA will present Bachman with the accolade at its annual Professional Development Conference scheduled to take place in Durham, North Carolina, from October 20 to 22.
