Cozy Apple Pie Cocktail

Warm your spirits with the flavors of apple pie in a glass.

When the leaves have fallen and the air finally turns crisp, I enjoy a nice warming cocktail. One recent night I poked around in my kitchen and bar in search of ingredients that personify the toasty feelings I was seeking.

Being a mother of a 4-year-old, apple juice is a staple in my home. I am also a Millennial, so naturally, I have Fireball Cinnamon Whisky in my bar. Unlike my younger years of shooting full-shot glasses of what tasted like heaven but burned like hell, I now seek a more refined way to consume the cinnamon-flavored whiskey.

Introducing the Spicy Apple Pie Cocktail — a delightful blend of vanilla vodka, Fireball and apple juice, finished with a dash of cinnamon. It is more than just a drink, it’s an experience. The warmth of the whiskey and the sweetness of the apple juice come together to create a comforting, nostalgic flavor reminiscent of homemade apple pie.

Whether you’re hosting a holiday gathering or enjoying a quiet evening at home, I think you’ll find this cocktail is a delightful way to embrace the season.

The combination of apple juice and Fireball is a match made in heaven. The vanilla vodka adds a flavor reminiscent of pastry. Just to make it a bit fancier, I rim the glass with brown sugar — just like you top an apple pie with sugar for a crisp crunch. The finished drink is surprisingly very similar to the flavors of apple pie!

Gather your ingredients, mix up this delightful drink, and toast to the beauty of winter. Cheers to cozy moments and flavorful sips!
